Being a student of Jungian dream psychology, I am constantly looking at dream dictionaries to determine if any have any validity. Most are simply for entertainment and have no scientific basis. But Eric Ackroyd's dream dictionary is based on scientific data that is primarily Jungian and definitly well thought through. Although no dream symbol can be precise, these are good starting points for interpreting the symbols in dreams. Besides containing valuable information on dream symbols Ackroyd gives you information on the unconscious, how to interpret your dreams, info on Sigmund Freud and a great summary of Jungian dream psychology. I use it regularily when helping others with their dreams. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in dreams. |
